Like music and fun? Then don't miss the
Battle of the Bands at the Georgia STATE FAIR!
We had STRONG competition at the 2008 Battle of the Bands. The winner performed at the
Macon-A-Star Finale and Kazoo event Thursday Sep. 25th. The runner up performed on stage Friday night during our BAND
NIGHT. The 1st place winner received $500 and a special prize of a recording session from
Platinum Media & Sound in Macon.
That's pronounced "one twenty over eighty." Randy Newton says it's because most of the band has high blood pressure. The band
lives in Milledgeville.
Bradley Junction, from Gray, put on a fine performance and they were enjoyed again on BAND NIGHT Friday. Thanks to all our talent judges and volunteers for making Battle of the Bands a great success! Proceeds from the Fair benefit local charities; since 1942 the Fair has returned over $5.3 million to the community through its owner
and operator, the Exchange Club of Macon. Read more about the
community benefits of the Georgia STATE FAIR. Our Fair is
“Macon Fun for Local Charities!”
